While its construction was completed in 2017, sheikhs Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan (President of the UAE, ruler of Abu Dhabi) and his son Mohammed (Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi) opened it to the public in 2019, while still being used for official purposes (hosting foreign leaders, supreme council and federal cabinet meetings, etc). |
