| One of the most attractive religious buildings in Dubai is the Jumeira mosque, in Bur Dubai's south-western Jumeira district, built from pink sandstone under the instruction of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed al-Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai from 1958-90, and gifted to the people; it was completed in 3 years and opened in 1979. |
