| Dubai Mall is so large it can easily accommodate its own 24-metre tall waterfall, in the southern corner of the complex. The falling of the water creates a visual illusion, making it seem that the sculptures of the divers are moving instead of the water. They represent pearl divers jumping into the water; pearls were the main source of livelihood in the UAE before the oil boom. |
