The cathedral's main western entrance, looking across the road. Previously Catholic, the church became Anglican after the Protestant Reformation during king Henry VIII's reign (r. 1509-47), and serves as the seat of the Bishop of London. The cathedral is one of London's famous and most recognisable sights.
