| Under the enclosed and pedestrianised section of Sikkad al-Khail Road in the Al-Sabkha district of Deira, stretches the Gold Market, filled exclusively with nearly 400 retailers specialising in jewellers, gold and silver products, and other expensive items (watches, rings, etc). It is estimated approximately 10 tons of gold is present at any given time in the souq. |
