| The two towers of Saint Catherine's Church, in the city's central west on Vilniaus gatvė, were once part of a Benedictine monastery. The church offers a small public garden with a monument to Adam Mickiewicz, a renown Polish poet born in the former Grand Duchy of Lithuania (now a part of Belarus), in the foreground.
