| In the northern suburbs of Tórshavn stands the Nordic House, a Nordic arts and cultural institution in the Faroe Islands. Its aim is to support and promote Nordic and Faroese culture, locally and in the Nordic region, with the architects deliberately evoking a resemblance to an enchantted hill of elves. The building opened in 1983. |
