| Perched right up in the Ostroška Greda mountain range in western Montenegro is the Ostrog Monastery, carved directly into the mountainside. The Serbian Orthodox monastery, dedicated to Sveti Vasilije Ostroški (Saint Basil of Ostrog) and built in the 17th century, is a popular pilgrimage place in Montenegro.
