| Kotor's old baroque Clock Tower, built in 1602 but damaged by progressive earthquakes, until receiving a complete reconstruction after a major one in 1979. Below stands the Pillar of Shame: used for minor punishment, the accused would be locked in a pillory to receive public ridicule.
