| On Dzhumaya Square is the Dzhumaya mosque, bulit in the mid-15th century by the Ottomans - one of the oldest in the Balkans - and one of the only functioning mosques left in Plovdiv since escaping the Ottoman Empire in 1878. It is currently undergoing renovation. |
