| The old harbour of Vágseiði, on the western coast of the island of Suðuroy, about 1km west of the town of Vágur, with the 200-metre high cliff Skuvanes to the south (far-left of picture). A sculpture ("They are pulling their boat west" by Hans í Liðini) is a reminder of the grand harbour destroyed by a hurricane in January 1989; all fishing moved to Vágur and never returned here. |
